Inkly
Effective Date: April 04, 2025
At Inkly, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting any personal data you provide when using our app. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.
1. Information We Collect
Account Data
Email & Password: Collected via Firebase Authentication for account creation and login.
Google Auth: If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive minimal profile information (e.g., your Google email) for authentication only.
Credit and Payment Data
Transaction Details: When you purchase credits or subscribe, we record the transaction through our third-party payment processors (Apple In-App Purchases and/or RevenueCat).
Usage Logs: We may store basic logs (e.g., timestamps, purchase status) in Firebase to verify your credits and manage refunds or disputes.
Paw Print Images
Local Processing: Inkly uses AI/ML models on your device to segment and edit pet paw prints.
Optional Cloud Sync (if enabled): Images and edits may be securely uploaded to your account’s Firebase storage for backup or cross-device syncing. This is optional and user-driven.
Analytics and Crash Logs
We may collect anonymized analytics (e.g., crash logs, session durations) to improve the app’s performance. Any personal information tied to these logs remains minimal or hashed.
2. How We Use Your Data
User Authentication: To create and manage your Inkly account, and verify your identity when you sign in.
Credit Management: To update your credit balance or subscription status after successful transactions.
Image Editing & Exports: Provide core app functionality, such as removing backgrounds, generating transparent images, and storing results (either locally or in your Firebase account).
App Improvements: Analyze anonymized data to fix bugs, enhance features, and guide future development.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
Firebase (Google): Used for authentication, optional storage of images, and basic database functionality to store credit balances.
RevenueCat / Apple In-App Purchases: Used to facilitate and verify transactions (purchase of credits, subscription).
Analytics & Crash Reporting: May be collected via Firebase or other integrated tools with minimal personal data collection.
All third-party services we integrate with adhere to their own privacy policies and industry-standard security measures.
4. Your Data, Your Control
Account Management: You can update or delete your account data at any time.
Image Deletion: If images are stored in Firebase, you can remove them, which deletes them from cloud storage.
Exported Data: Once you export an image, its handling and storage on your device or external locations are your responsibility.
Opt-Out: Where applicable, you may opt out of certain analytics and crash reporting.
5. Data Security
We are committed to safeguarding your data through:
Secure Authentication: Industry-standard encryption for data transfers (HTTPS/TLS).
Firebase Security Rules: Limit access to stored images and user data to authorized account holders.
Device-Level Encryption: Images processed locally leverage iOS native encryption and sandboxing.
Despite these measures, no method of data storage or transmission can be guaranteed 100% secure.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If we make material changes, we will notify you via in-app notifications or by updating this policy’s Effective Date above.
